Your data stays yours
Updated August 18, 2026
This guide explains how Inshore handles your data, and how to manage or request it.
What "yours" means
Inshore's privacy model is architectural, not a setting you turn on:
- Your spot data structurally cannot aggregate or surface to another user. There's no shared heatmap, no public spot database, and no feature that shows your spots or catches to anyone else. Ever.
- There's no cross-user data flow in the product. Nothing you log is used to help another angler, and nothing another angler logs is used to help you.
- We don't claim a license over what you log. It's yours.
- We don't sell your data or share it with other users.
Managing your data
- Edit or delete any spot, log, or catch at any time from within the app.
- Delete your whole account from Settings > Delete My Account. Your account and data are removed from our active systems within 2-5 business days.
- Want a copy of your data? Email support and we'll get it to you.
